The most recent forum that I have become a regular visitor to (and occasional participant) is Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. I came across it when I was preparing to return to rewalk the last section from O’Cebreiro this year (which I have blogged about extensively) and it is a valuable source of information for those in the planning stages, as well as a convivial fellowship for veterans of the various routes to Santiago.
The top tip for me was to regularly air my feet and to stop and check my footwear at the first sign of discomfort rather than enduring it and allowing problems to develop. One hundred miles and not a blister to boot makes me very glad that I found the site, although I post less now than I did in the planning and immediate aftermath.
