I did not play the game until long after it was released but it is still over a decade since I first experienced Wolfenstein 3D, a first person shooter game. I had not even thought of it for a long time but recently discovered WolfenFlickr 3D.
This lets you run round a similar environment within your web browser. However, rather than shooting guards, this place is all about the artwork on the walls, which is loaded from Flickr (based on a username or query – use basswulf to see some of my recent photos).
If you never played the original game, this probably will not seem a particularly enticing browsing experience. That wood panelling and grey carpet is so monotonous! However, it provides a fascinating example of what can be achieved with modern web browsers and is a fun way to explore some pictures (nb. you can press Ctrl to see the high res version of a picture you are looking at).
