I’m enjoying watching some episodes of Not the 9 O’Clock News. It is about thirty years old but stands the test of time. I suppose it helps that I remember the period in which it was produced (albeit from a child’s perspective) but a lot of it still feels very contemporary. In particular, I am appreciating the care given to transitions between scenes (frequently blended by either continuing background music or details in the scenes).
The other thing that was fascinating was how many comments I got via Facebook and Twitter when I announced that I was watching it last night, including a stream of fondly remember quotes.
