I was expecting today to be gorgeously sunny. At the moment it is overcast but does appear to be brightening so my hopes of a clear afternoon are not entirely dashed. It would be nice as Peter and the Wulf are appearing at Wittfest later today (due on stage at 4:40pm). Pleasant weather is good for gigs like this as, even though the stage and (if it is like last year) the audience area are covered, there are likely to be a lot more people wandering around and willing to listen to a few songs than if it is damp and drizzly outside.
Here’s hoping! It’s a wonderfully informal little festival, based in Long Wittenham with free entry (although plenty of chances to make donations, which go to charity) and I would like plenty of people there not just for my sake but to make the event as a whole a success.
