Inspired by the gift of a courgette earlier this week and the abundance of our tomato harvest, I decided to cook up a ratatouille tonight. It is now gently simmering, which will mellow the ingredients together and create a hearty dish.
I had my knife very sharp and almost managed to slice into my left thumb. Fortunately I pulled back just in time and so have only lost a divot of skin; just as well as I need my hands for playing guitar at church tomorrow! The cutting is all done now so I should be safe from culinary mishap before the service.
