Mid Spring

Here is the back garden as it looks at the start of April:

Back Garden in April

It is somewhat untidy, although I would rather call it “organic” in style but has plenty of life bursting out. Particular highlights are the Euphorbia characias subsp wulfenii (by the rosemary towards the bottom right of the frame), which has an excellent name and grew from tiny seeds planted last spring and the contrast of the new leaves on the Malus trilobata, the blossom on the plum (Prunus domestica ‘Herman’) and the yellow flowers of the Mahonia aquifolium ‘Atropurpurea’ which make a pleasing trio further back on the right hand side.

All done without the aid of a hosepipe, too.

It’s not untidy, it’s ‘lived in’ and it looks lovely 🙂
