You know, the one when you wake up and find that it has snowed.
It doesn’t look too thick round here; I’ll find out shortly whether it is easy to cycle through or not when I set off for work. The snow has already given me one extra chore, using a soft brush to sweep the top of the polytunnel (reducing the load and increasing the light inside). That will keep the plants growing in there (like our garlic, which started poking up a couple of weeks ago) much happier; it isn’t particularly warm in there but the black bin full of water shows that it hasn’t fallen to freezing yet.
Hopefully it won’t be like that day, when you keep waking up and finding that the calendar hasn’t moved on!
