Golden Crab

My latest beer — the Autumn Gold with added crab apple juice — is now into the fermenting stage. My hydrometer made it about 1.050 @ 19.2°C and I’ve now got it sitting in my brew cupboard with about 6.5g of Nottingham yeast to turn sugars into alcohol and wort into beer. It is a bit early to be judging the end result but the aroma is beautifully honeyed and far from the sourness that crab apples might have induced. I’ll see what it is doing in a week but I might be onto a good one here.
