The Ravaging Wind

It has been fearful blowy outside today. Here are few lines of verse that came to mind while I was watching the wind run amok over the back garden (harmlessly, in fact, but I saw what could have been):

The ravaging wind is goblins
Dismembering trees,
Ripping leaves,
Unpinning houses.

The ravaging wind exults
With fey glee
Calling, cajoling, menacing,
Merciless.

The ravaging wind is locked outside
And is not invited to cross my boundary
Sit at my hearth
Or share my supper.
