I watched an interesting TED talk recently: Jia Jiang explaining what he learned from 100 days of rejection. He tried an experiment where he sought out situations where he would be likely to get rejected, often did get rejected, reflected and learned.Before long, he found he also got some surprising acceptances too.
Summarising, the critical point was when he learned to ask why – not forcing his request but not running away with his tail between his legs either. He still didn’t always get what he asked for but sometimes found an unexpected opportunity opening up. Worth a watch.
