I’ve been doing more wood chopping today and here is some of the evidence:
The large logs on the bottom shelf and all those on the shelf above were reduced down today from the bays at the back of the garden. This is all pretty well seasoned already but I reduce it down to double lengths for this shelf and then I’ll cut each in half before moving it on, probably splitting some of the larger pieces down the centre. By the time it gets to the point where I’m feeding into the woodburner it has had plenty of chance to lose all excess moisture and be ready to give out maximum heat.
I’m counting this towards my 52photos project – taken on the iPad and worked on with the Gimp to enhance colours and contrast, highlighting all those round and nearly round shapes.
