Jane and Magnus, who is visiting for the event, get another day of summer school tomorrow but my Anatomy for Artists course is now complete. Thanks to Anna Pike for being an excellent tutor, providing a wide range of reference material and for acting as our model to boot.
I think this was one of my better attempts to capture her:
This was from a pose about a minute in length. I had time to look, make broad sweeps with the red crayon, refine it a bit and then pick out a few key lines in pencil to finish off.
There isn’t much detailed anatomy shown here but you can see that I’ve learned to pay more attention to the structures in areas like the elbow and knee joints – two of the areas I did choose to highlight in this particular sketch.
