I am gradually working through the images I took on my recent holiday. This shot is a woodland scene from the New Forest, which I visited last Tuesday.
It is meant to look like that. I deliberately overexposed the photo so that the detail is obscured. Rather than clearly showing the birch tree that is the main subject the result becomes a more abstract texture.
The result looks like an old photo that has been left in the sun too long; I think it would also serve as a background or overlay texture to enhance the setting of other work. Above all, like all photos, it is the result of playing with light.
