We had a lovely evening yesterday that combined a couple of my favourite things – food and music – in time spent with friends. Given the good weather we decided to have a BBQ and invite a few people to join us.
On the food side, I was excited to try sous vide burgers. I’ve had this in mind since I saw that article a few days ago and the result was good. Since we had some children coming round I kept the temperature fairly high but I’d like to give it another go soon leaving them a bit pinker inside.
We also got the ukes out. Well, more technically, there were a couple of ukes, a mandolin and I brought my double bass down for the party. It was ragged in parts (especially when the light faded too much outside to see the chord sheets!) but fun.
