Up the Garden Path

A view along a winding garden path

Up the Garden Path

Sitting in a chair eating my breakfast this morning, I was struck by the view up the garden path, which is looking glorious in this season. The curve of the path is softened by the foliage and, at the focal point, the Deutzia is putting on its best show supported by the Sorbus vilmorinii behind it and the Malus trilobata on the right of the path. The grass is getting a bit long and it might be a few more days before it dries up enough to give it another trim but, for now, the effect of daisies and fallen blossoms helps lead the eye along the curve. Very satisfying.
