Acer davidii and the Primula understorey

Is that a botanical band name? I don’t think so but it is the subject of today’s digital artwork:

Acer davidii and Primula understorey
Woodland Scene

Today Jane and I took a road trip up to RHS Harlow Carr, a beautiful garden on the western edge of Harrogate. This was up in a woodland area that I don’t think we’ve explored before. The Acer tree has beautiful patterned bark and was set off beautifully by a sea of Primulas.

I used the Procreate iPad app again and you can see that I’m still using the same brushes as I did for the piece I did earlier this week and posted yesterday (a pastel effect and a sketching pencil).
