We did some more work on sustainable irrigation today. We’ve now run a pipe across the extension roof, linking the downpipe from the main roof to the gutter on the shed (which links to our water butts). It isn’t a tight seal at the top, so some will still flow across the roof and down into the main drain but it should up our rate of rainwater collection without overwhelming it.
At present the design looks a bit odd as it is still in prototype mode. Once we’ve seen it in action, we’ll decide if we want to refine the fit and finish or take it apart and try something else. Roll on more rain!
