We had our first in person PCC (Parochial Church Council) tonight since the start of lockdown. The PCC meets sitting in a circle in the church hall and we pulled the chairs as far back as possible, creating a decent spacing between each person. Under the circumstances, I think it is a fairly safe setting (certainly much safer than Parliament on a busy day).
I think we’ll still do some of our meetings online in future though (including next month). It saves everyone the travel and, in most cases, you can see and hear people better. It also avoids the tasks of setting up and clearing up the hall. Since we’ve had to learn to meet using online tools, it will be good to retain the benefits — and to keep them oiled and in working order if they are required again because of external factors.
