As you can see, yesterday’s woodwork has become today’s compost bins, staked, screwed and wired together. As well as getting these put in place, we got to meet a number of the neighbours. An allotment is very different to a private garden! However, it will be useful to get to know these people better – this is the kind of process by which community is formed.
It is also interesting to look at the pre-installation photo from today compared with the similar shot I took on Monday. Those weeds are shooting up. Hopefully the vegetables will do the same once I get some in.
